Koyfin already offers historical percentiles
Koyfin's Equity Percentile Ranks documentation describes ranks against a stock's own history and ranks against other companies. It lists percentile columns in Watchlists, Screener and Market Scatter. The documentation says the snapshot is available to all users for S&P 500 companies; companies outside that set require a paid plan.
Koyfin also documents historical data and averages in screens and watchlists. We do not claim that historical valuation screening is unique to StockResearch.
Its customizable left navigation organizes a broad research workspace. StockResearch's narrower company sidebar keeps the selected company in view while you move through the valuation question.
The StockResearch starting point
On Oct 22, 2026, our NVIDIA data showed a trailing P/E of 28.1x against a five-year median of 56.9x. Its rounded percentile was 1, meaning the current multiple was below 99% of its available weekly readings from the last five years.
That sentence, its date and its history chart are available without signing in. The bottom-decile screen turns the same historical-position question into a public list of covered companies. A result links back to its history and financial context.
| Question | StockResearch workflow |
|---|---|
| Where is this multiple within its own history? | Public dated answer and band chart |
| Can I inspect a longer chart? | Free 5Y, 10Y and All ranges where history is available |
| Can I find other stocks in the same position? | Public valuation screener with visible results |
| Can I keep the result? | Follow the stock or save the screen after signing in |
Compare definitions before comparing percentiles
A rank against sector peers is different from a rank against the same company's history. A forward P/E using analyst estimates is different from a trailing P/E using reported earnings. Sampling frequency, time window, missing observations and treatment of ties also matter.
Our public methodology describes the SEC-filings and weekly-price calculation. Longer chart history does not change the five-year percentile window. A low historical rank does not forecast a price increase.
